Is Organic Food Better? TASTE the Difference



When people answer the question: "Is organic food better?", they consider rising food prices, a tumultuous economy, and losing jobs, not just whether organic food is more nutritious and healthy.

It's a huge commitment to your family's health and well-being when you weigh the pros and cons of organic food and decide to purchase only organic foods because certified organic, natural foods cost more.

Whether you buy frozen organic baby food or organic food in bulk, you'll find organic food more expensive than non organic food.

Rarely will you find cheap organic food, though there are some exceptions.

Yet for me, it's important to consider the long term benefits of eating organic food, especially when you take into account possible savings on medical expenses due to eating organic food.

Many people view their bodies as a temple, one in which our Creator resides. If our body is a temple, isn't it important that we feed it nourishing, natural, healthy organic foods, free of pesticides, poisons, and other unknown, foreign ingredients?

Many people, including my 90 year old mom as I stated on kids health food, can taste the difference between organic and non-organic food.

This is because the chemicals, pesticides, and poisons that enter non-organic food leave their residues, and take away from the natural flavors of the foods.

In case you're uncertain about the definition of organic food and what is organic food, read on.

"Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations."

"Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones."

"Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation."

"Before a product can be labeled "organic," a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards."

"Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified, too."

The definition of organic food is from the USDA, the United States Department of Agriculture, the government body that oversees agriculture in the USA.

Beware Recent Changes to Organic Food Laws
Organic food growing, demand for organic food, even demand for healthy kids food, and profits from organic food are all on the rise. Big profits. It is estimated that organic food sales rise 15 percent to 21 percent annually.

Total food sales rise 2 percent to 4 percent.

Because of huge profits to be made, big business wants its share. They have the lobbying power to influence a change in what ingredients are allowed in anything less than 100 percent organic food.

This means it is critical to read labels closely if and when you buy any food labeled less than 100% Organic.

In the long run, it means foods you thought to be kids health food may not be.

If synthetics and other harmful ingredients enter our kids bodies, the question of is organic food better takes on new meaning.

Obviously, if your kids just eat 100 per cent organic there is no problem. All food then is kids health food. Anything less, who knows what you'll find in your food and in your bodies.

There is no doubt in answering the question is organic food better.

Organic Food Trends - Eating healthy nutritious food creates a healthy food habit

More and more people want organic food; they want simple healthy foods, without
  • additives,
  • preservatives,
  • chemicals,
  • pesticides,
  • GMOs, and
  • other damaging-to-the-body and damaging to the environment side affects.

By eating live, raw, healthy foods you create a healthy food habit, which ultimately leads to better and better health. Can you see the importance of kids health food?

Organic Food Benefits - Is Organic Food Better?

To completely answer the question is organic food better, I must show you benefits of organic food, in addition to organic food tasting better.

If you want to supply kids health food and a healthy eating food plan, it must contain healthy nutritious food, which is organic.

I find that my body and mind get accustomed to eating almost the same healthy food daily. I like the way the food goes down, and I like the way it comes out.

In between, I love the energy I have to do whatever I want.

Another benefit is that organic food often looks healthier than its counterparts. I never see my reflection as I happily look at a bin of organic pink lady apples. Nothing is shiny, there is no wax, it often just looks better.

PLUS, look at the people shopping in a Whole Foods Market versus a Safeway, for example. People who have answered the question is organic food better, look better and have more energy and life to them. And the kids look as though they've been eating kids health food.

Obviously there are exceptions to this general rule but do a comparison for yourself and see if you see what I see.

Summary of is organic food better - ABSOLUTELY, OF COURSE, NO BRAINER!

Need I offer you more information on health food to prove that organic food is better? From my perspective, no. If you are a person eating healthy food, you're more than likely consuming a large percentage of organic food.

If you want to up the odds for having a healthy pregnancy, eat as much healthy food during pregnancy as possible. You and your baby will love and appreciate it!
